F.R.E.E. was birthed from a desire to unlock and harness the symbolism and significance of the historic town of Elmina, located on the western coast of present-day Ghana.
F.R.E.E. was created by S.I.D.AF Inc as a project to unlock and harness the significance of the historical town of Elmina for positive impact.
FREE! was created to unlock and harness the significance of the historical town of Elmina for positive impact. FREE!’s organizational goals include:
Execution, closing and maintenance of the Elmina Freedom Beach Promenade Program (EFBPP).
To facilitate the creation of a pilgrimage location in Elmina for all who want a spiritual connection with this “place of origin” as well as those who wish to understand the origins and history of the Transatlantic Slave Trade
To provide a platform for the celebration of cultural diversity and the promotion of cohesion among different races and ethnicities (Black, White, Asian, Arabic etc.); to highlight positive benefits of the African-European cultural interaction
To use the historic town of Elmina as a platform to highlight and remember the injustice of the Transatlantic Slave Trade and its negative consequences as well as the need for restorative processes
To promote initiatives in Elmina that will deepen ties and bonds between Africans on the continent and members of the African diaspora
To engage in initiatives and activities that will facilitate the economic emancipation of the poor in Elmina, as well as provide the opportunity for members of the African diaspora and others to engage in accomplishing such endeavors
